I ran across the site and want any help I can get. I can hardly believe it is almost Thanksgiving, which is what brings on my sense of urgency. Over the Christmas holiday, I will be traveling with my beautiful wife of just over one year to her in-laws house. I am thirteen years older than my wife, for which I take a good bit of ribbing from her brothers - and grief from her father. Last year, I was challenged and ended up arm wrestling her dad (who is eleven years my senior) DURING Christmas dinner. Needless to say, I lost - and was a bit bummed. I would LOVE to learn a few tips and then challenge him again this year and absolutely SLAM his arm down! You know, win back a little of my pride? The thing is that I do not know the first thing about arm wrestling, I've only begun surfing the net for any tips, and so I am making a plea for some help please!
Take a look over my site, and specifically these pages: http://www.eiyc.com/technique.htm
That should help you out quite a bit. You should also remember two tips: Pull his arm away from his body and back toward your body (also called backpressure). Also remember to use your body to get his arm down. Good luck!
Thank you for your helpful link. The page you referred me to has some great tips. Now I just have to practice! I know that come this Christmas I will win back my pride!!! And maybe some favor in my wife's eyes! But best of all I will be sticking it to her dad like he did to me last year!
