I am in South Carolina so if you are doing something in the panhandle or up north I could help out.  But I probably cannot help out with this one since it is a little too far south for me.  Smile [:)]

I will be down that way in a couple of weeks.

What do you need help with?

I might be able to help out.  I have refereed a few tourneys in the past.

Be sure you have two refs.  That really helps speed things along.

Also a PA system helps.

Let me just reply further.  You need:

a waiver form

a table

a scale

a ref shirt

at least three people to run the tournament - two refs, one PA person who also keeps track of matches.

This is if you are only going to run one table.  Count on two refs for each table (optimal).  Probably one table per 50 competitors.

Have brackets for all diff. # of competitors ready to be filled out.

Give yourself 30 minutes between weighins and start of tourney to fill in brackets.  Start tourney on time!

Have a PA system so you don't have to yell and can be easily heard.

Sponsors help big time.  You can make a thousand bucks or more just from sponsors.

Give competitors t-shirts for entering, and charge an entry fee of $20-25.

If your sponsors give you free stuff to give away (like free tans, etc.), then raffle them off to spectators.  This way you can charge a small spectator fee as well.  More $$ in your pocket.

Give yourself some time to plan it out.  If the bar has a radio ad budget, then ask them to promote the tournamnet.

Have a women's class and make the entry fee free.  This will be a big draw and something you can promote on your ads.

Hope I helped some.
