I'm new to arm wrestling. I got very interested in it when my brother-in-law (much smaller than me) kicked my butt at a family reunion. I know that the issue will come up again at the next reunion and only have 8 months to train.
Anyway, I have been studying up on techniques and exercises but one thing keeps hindering my actual arm wrestling (which I practice with friends). During certain matches my shoulder feels like it momentarily slips out of socket. Every time this happens I lose the match. It's not a major slip, but a slight painless shift. Anybody have an recomendations for how to prevent this? Or, is it just a general issue of training the muscles?
Any other tips or suggestions on how to get the most out of the next 8 months is appreciated as well.
