What can you do against an unbreakable wrist?

Popeye 01-08-2007, 1:15 PM
I have a guy thats coaching me that is well seasoned in armwrestling. I'm gettin ready for my second tourney at the Reno Reunion VIII. I noticed that he has a wrist of steel, no matter what I did I couldnt get him to budge, so I was just wondering what to do if I encounter an opponent with the same advantage. What technique would be best?

Work on the strength in your wrist along with forearm strength, and work on your back to give you a good ancor. That might just allow to break your opponent.

I honestly have no good answer, but I think that leaning back and putting pressure on his fingers will do it.  This game is all about leverage.

Yeah I've tried to toproll, I might just have bad body positioning. Yet I am a hooker trying to transition to a toproller, it's definitely a move that is easier on the arm, but on the same token its hard to execute if you dont have everything down. I talked to Bob Brown at the tourney and he said the same thing, find a way to get as much leverage as possible. But if I try doin all that and still cant do it, then I need to get stronger. And if that is the case then I have a little project in the making that might help. We shall see, I'll keep expiramenting and see what I can do.
