I'm a young and upcoming amateur boxer in the state of Arizona. I compete at 132 lbs but I generally weigh around 140 when not in competition. Recently I was at school (I'm a senior in high school) and for some assignment that I wanted to do, I had to arm wrestle a kid who wanted to do that assignment too. This kid is on the varsity football team, weighs around, I'd estimate, 170-180 lbs. I lost to him but I was surprised how long it lasted. I'm a little better at the game than I thought I was. I really don't have the time or desire to get into competitive arm wrestling but I just want to know what to do to kick some kid's ass at it next time. I don't lift weights, I just train at the boxing gym and do pushups and run. What are some easy and not very time consuming things I could do to work on my strength so I could obliterate somebody next time?

i would say get sombody u know that has good technique and get them to show u the hook its the most simple technique to learn and most ppl use it half decent to begin with also get them to show u good for how to set ur feet up and u wanna always remeber keep ur elbow as close to u as possible not stretched out on the table and ur fist the same really close and when u go don't just use ur arm but try to make ur arm stay in one spot and drop ur head the direction ur pullin and turn ur opposite shoulder out toward the back of u and then make your chest go to the table never let ur arm get away from u tho always keep it close if u don't u'll lose all of ur strength its not about one muscle strength its how well u get all the muscles working together also try to keep ur fist on the inside of ur shoulder and it helps if u grip with one or two of ur fingures over lapping ur thumb hope i helped and for actual strength it takes time sorry but it just does and good technique can make up alot for strength problems also u have to be able to explode i know this is alot but get on ur table at home and try to remeber these things and just practice them to yourself till u get the groove of things and i'll asure u'll win if u just do the technique right if it lasted a lil bit

You could do some chin ups along with your pushups and running. Do chin ups with towels as well, that'll work forearms and that's an important muscle in arm wrestling.
