Diferent kind of tables !!

Hi everybody just wondering what is the diference bettwen the 2 tables that i saw in the past.

1 One with theelbow  pads staggered to the left or right 

2 With the elbow pads set straight on

is this beacause the diferent organization in the world ??? do this kinds of table help a move in particular??

Thanks for the question about table variations.  It used to be that most tournaments were held on tables where the pads were set straight on, but now a good number of tournaments feature the staggered pads.  The primary change in the matches due to the pad switch is that it changes the location where a pin usually happens.  Whereas you usually pin your opponent near the middle of the table on the straight-on pads, you usually pin your opponent much further toward your side of the table with staggered pads.  While there are a lot of other small differences, I have found that backpressure becomes even more important with the staggered pads.  Because the pins usually require you to pull your opponent's hand to your side of the table, you pretty much HAVE to have backpressure if you are going to get pins on a regular basis.  Definitely train your backpressure!

I should clarify my above comments.  The moves are still the same, but with straight on pads the resistance is more side to side while the staggered pads shift the resistance to more front-to-back.
