Last weekend I entered in my first tournament. I got a taste of some humble pie but also a little encouragement. I lost my first match but I held the guy for a good 25 secs. I had him stuck and then he pinned me. After the match he came up to me and asked how long I had been armwrestling. I told him this was my first tournament. He told me that I did well and that he was a professional and had been armwrestling for a long time. I stayed around and watched the other matches and noticed that everybody else he faced he beat with ease. That was a little encouraging. In the match with him right before the ref said go he moved his elbow to the side of the pad and got the jump on me. I think my mistake was that I did not apply any side pressure before the ref said go. Any comments would be cool. Thanks.
Hi,
What weight division did you go in? Did anyone get any photos or videos. I am in Australia and we dont see ANY comps over here. I have been arm-wrestling in pubs and clubs for a few months and it seems that everyone over here is keen to arm-wrestle, but no one does it competitively - just at the pub if your lucky. If anyone has any good Video footage of any comps, It would be great if you could flick it my way. i have seen a few on you tube, but thats about all - very hard to find soem good clips.
E-Dog, how long have you bee arm-wrestling for now and how old are you? Sounds to me like if you had a better draw you may have gone a fair way further.
All the best for future comps.

KangaRooted - I do not know if anybody got any footage but arm tv. was there. I am 32 years old and I entered in the heavy wight class 250. As to how long I have been armwrestling not that long just wrestle with friends and in bars and pub like you do. I'm over here in California. I looked up the pro I armwrestled on the net and come to find out he is a 9 time world champion.
Thanks for the comment.
