how to beat a toproll
I was beaten twice recently both by a toproll. If I think this is going to happen again, how can I counter it?

Re: how to beat a toproll
You need to hook them if you feel you have the stronger arm. Which means you need to work on your wrist strength. If you feel you can't get your wrist strong enough depending how long you have between the next contest, then I would suggest trying to top roll with them and slip grips. Then pull in the straps. But in the meantime work on your hand strength and wrist strength.
Exercises.
Wrist curls-all variations
Thick bar exercises.
Isometric holds on a thick bar in hook position.
Grippers.
