Hi,

This question interested me as I often get quite sore in my joins as well after arm wrestling.  In fact, I was arm wrestling on Friday night and hear to snaps - almost like the sound that you would hear when cracking your knuckles.  My arm was sore but I wasnt of the opinion that it was as a result of those to crackning noises.    3 days later and my forearm is a little tender close to my elbow- not more sore than it would be any other time, but sore all the same.  Anyway, I took a good look on the net and found this website that talks about tendinosis and how to treat it.  Check out http://www.tendinosis.org/current.html ....  It would appear that the best thing appears to be rest.  That website suggests that tendons heal very slowly and can take up to 100 days to produce collagen which appears to be the building blocks of tendons.  I know the given website doesnt talk much about website, but it does talk about tendons and arm wrestling is tough on your tendons.  I hope this helps.

If anyone has any "proven" techniques that work for fast tendon recovery (other than not arm wreslting :-S )  flick a reply!!

Regards

KangaRooted

thanks for the advice.I'll give that site a try. I was told recently that you can actually buy collagen tablets. there purpose is for your skin, to firm it up. I've read though that tendons are made with collagen and elastin. I wonder wether just taking the collagen might lead to different injuries? i'm sure there must be some way to train them, its just finding it.
