Just to throw out a couple of names:
Brzenk
Dean
Bagent
Randall
Espey
Bath
Don Underwood (although I haven't seen him in a while)
Britton Matthews (good puller, young, but haven't seen him in a while either)
All are heavyweights.

For what it is worth, I believe that the Guinness Book of World Records lists John Brzenk as the best armwrestler ever. I would definitely concur in that! The guy is unstoppable no matter what his weight is.

They are all pretty astounding and only a handful have any prior wins over John B. I know that it is a rare instance that he loses a match. Most of the time it is because he enters so many classes and just gets tired down and once in a while he has injury as well. I think straight up fresh you could count less than 10 people who have ever stepped up and beaten him. One would probably be Mr. Ron Bath even though he is older he has risen to this occasion and Johnny Walker . I am pretty sure Cleve Dean has gained a win this way. Matt Girdner gained a win I believe but then he came back and beat him. I am thinking John has the ability to apply pressure from so many different angles that if you beat him one way , the next match will be from such a different angle that unless you have walked that mile in his shoes you will surely find yourself in a bad position. His backpressure is so strong I watched him literally lift Marcio Barbosa's elbow while toprolling and he couldnt stop him. Also from that position he has this ability to apply extreme side pressure which allows him to basically toproll someone and then high hook them down if need be. All we can do is to keep working to gain such a strength . In order to be the man you have to beat the man so everyone take note. You need the full package inside and out. It could take a while but I am a firm believer that anything one seeks >>>one shall find as long as you want it bad enough.

Those rankings are interesting, but like you said I do not think they have been updated in a while. They don't even list Todd Hutchings in the 90kg men or Cleve Dean in the unlimited men, but they are definitely a good start. Thanks for the link.

I think that hands down Travis Bagent is the king. I love the way the guy brings some life and energy to the sport! Brzenk might be classy, but what this sport needs is some major personality!!!!

Nick Zinna is pretty good and super nice guy, Micheal Todd, a retired Jerry Janning, and a guy that hasnt pulled in 20 years, some of you may remember Richard lupkes < the guy is amazingly huge, and if you look him up on youtube, unstoppable, people said that in his day nobody could stop him

Everybody says John Brzenk is the best, but I've seen two youtube video's where he arm wrestles Alexey Voevoda, and he loses both of them. Voevoda is the best, but he is bigger than John, John is probably the best in his weight class.

Brzenk is the greatest ever. Of course he has lost some matches over the years. Now that armwrestling is getting more popular, the new guys only see todays best and dont realize the 20plus years of dominance for Brzenk.
John is 42 years old and the only ones that beat him today are half his age and 50 pounds larger. And even still has winning records over all of them.
The best heavy weights today are John Brzenk, Farid Usmanov, Andre Pushkar, Travis Badget
John just beat Farid and Andre in Dec at Poland.
As far as Alexy Voevoda. Your are right He beat John twice when John weigh 209 and was injured. FUNNY how there has been several attempts to get these two together again and Alexy keeps saying NO.

Sorry, I didn't know that Brzenk was injured when he lost to Voevoda, in what way was he injured? Voevoda is still good, though, on the Pulling John website it says that Voevoda and Bagent are John's only rivals. Allen Fisher is also really good for the 160 weight and so is Corey Miller.
