Amateur armwrestling on regular tables
When amateurs armwrestle at home or in a bar the tables are regular table without the handles on either side as there would be on an armwrestling table. The table is much lower as well so you have to sit while armwrestling. I have read a lot about hooks and toprolls and other tips such as get your hip in and put your right foot in front and left foot back (if you are wrestling with your right hand) etc . However, when one cannot stand up , and cannot use the handles as grip to hold their other hand how can one effectively use the techniques to beat the opponent. Even the foot being ahead of the other does not help since you are sitting. I am sure even pros must be armwrestling on normal tables for fun, when they are just sitting on a chair. What would they do ? I would highly appreciate help as I am tired of losing in armwrestling even though I understand the techniques.
Thanks
Chintan
