Not sure how weight classes work, but I know that weight and size doesn't necessarily determine who will win. Many years ago I had many matches with a younger, smaller buddy who traded wins and losses with me pretty evenly. We were same height, but he was lighter, and I had about 3 inches on him in arm size, but we never knew who would win each time we arm wrestled (both arms, too). Wish I could find someone so evenly matched with me again! Good luck to you in finding a tournament.

Anyone in the north Atlanta area interested in some matches for fun and exercise? I'm not interested in tournaments, but would love to try some matches again. I'm 5' 7" and 158lbs. but have usually proven strong for my size, too.

I think you should definitely enter a tournament.  Try to find one with the smaller weight classes, because this will allow you to wrestle people closer to your own size.  The weight classes work just like wresting does - you only go against people in your class.  it sounds like you have very good technique, whihc is party of why you can beat people much bigger than you - but in a tournament you are going to have lots of very strong people who are also very good at technique.  that means your odds of beating someone bigger than you in a tournment are far smaller and you need to be in a tournament with weight classes that are pretty small.  giving up 25 pounds to someone in armwrestling tournaments can be brutal!
