Evgenyi Prudnyk: „Kiss me Kate!” 09:21 01/24/2014 As we all know, one of the strongest armwrestlers in the world is also an actor of the Kiev National Academic Operetta Theatre. He’s currently performing in a play. The idea to acquaint myself with Evgenyi’s art has been with me for some time now. We’ve also been discussing which show would best serve this purpose. Genya had a ready answer for that – Cole Porter’s Broadway musical, “Kiss me, Kate” – a wonderful play full of the American 50’s spirit. At the scene, a “play within a play” – a musical theatre troupe’s play based on William Shakespeare’s “Taming of the shrew”. I spoke to the theatre’s emloyees before the show. The nice ticket ladies promised me a great experience. “You need to hear him sing! Evgenyi has a wonderful voice. And when he sings romance…” – I just couldn’t wait for the show to start.
